1989 42' Catalina 42 Wing Keel (BJS)
The Catalina 42 was one of the first American production boats to offer three private sleeping cabins. The 42 was designed to be affordable and to appeal to a broad spectrum of sailors: day sailors, club racers, weekenders, and long-distance cruisers. This boat is a spacious cruiser with 3 private sleeping cabins and 2 heads. AC with reverse heat, 3 burner stove with oven, microwave and refrigeration.
Cabin has an L-shape dining area, navigation station teak and holly sole (refinished in 2000). Well laid out cockpit with speakers and cockpit VHF, is rigged for single-handed sailing. It has a 40 Leather covered wheel. Two anchors (45 lb. Plow and Fortress FX37) 100 of chain and 200 line is included. It has updated battery power with an Emon battery monitor and regulator with an upgraded Balmar alternator. It also has a soundproof engine room. It has autopilot (6000), Garmin GPS, VHF and Radar, and AM/FM stereo with CD player. A 5 hp Mercury O/B is also included. It has a PSS shaft seal (drip less stuffing box) and a Super Stor Water heater (upgraded in 2000).
This boat as been in fresh water only for the last 8 years.
