2003 40' Baja Outlaw Series 40 Outlaw
The motors are stock Mercury HP500's (500 horsepower each). Complete rebuilds by Innovation Marine on the Port (150 hours) and Starboard (20 hours). Center most likely around 350 hours. Neither was worn out, the headers cracked and the owner got water in them. None of the Bravo 1 drives are original and all have upgraded parts in them.

Features and Options
This is one wild combination of good looks and speed. Sure to be a head turner at any Poker run. One of the most custom Baja's ever built. Garage kept and in great condition. Low hours on triple 500 HP Mercury EFIs and Bravo 1 drives. New gimbals and couplers. Includes custom, Eagle, tri-axle trailer with new tires. This light-layup hull is considerably faster than the standard 40' Outlaw. Pictures don't do this custom paint job justice. There is a HUGE Clarion Stereo system with controls at helm and swim platform. An intercom system with headsets will allow you to converse with the crew when the three big Mercs are growling behind you. Power bolsters at the helm and companion seat. Three passenger seats, in various colors, are forward of the engine space.Down below, this Baja is really something else. The black and white is a real contrast to the explosion of color topside. NO sharp angles here. Everything is rounded and padding is the rule. There are two queen berths with stowage galore under each. Under the forward berth, an electric head with overboard discharge is hidden from sight.
Overhead, the headliner is flawless and has halogen lighting built in. Three overhead deck hatches will allow light and ventilation. The helm is a rainbow of color. Each engine is color coded with regards to shifter, throttle and engine monitoring gauges. Gaffrig is the brand of choice to keep tabs on the Mercs. Mercury Racing Trim Tabs(K-Planes), Silent choice exhaust and Mercury Lab Finished props propel this beast at over 80 MPH. A digital depth finder is on the dash and a VHF radio is found in the companionway. In case you are directionally challenges, a digital compass is front and center.
A Xonex fume detector and Sea fire automatic fire suppression system stand ready if ever needed. An electric engine hatch lift reveals the three powerhouse Mercs. At 500 HP each, these stock Mercs are more reliable than some of their highly customized brothers. Gaffrig gauges keep tabs on the water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, voltage and RPM. Recent rebuilds by Innovation Marine on the 500 EFIs should keep you on the water and out of the shop for quite some time. The Bravo 1 drives have been constantly updated and perform flawlessly.
One of the easiest ways to increase speed is to fine tune the prop. Lab finishing gets peak performance out of this drive train. This Outlaw has a very aggressive design in terms of looks and performance. Baja spends a lot of time hydro testing and in wind tunnels to turn out one of the best performing boats around. Be sure to check out all of the photos. If you are color blind, this may cure it.
If you are looking for a go-fast, this is really one to consider.
