1992 42' CATALINA YACHTS Mark One

42\' Catalina, 1992, Three cabin model, Shole Wing Keel
The Catalina 42 Sloop is one of the most successful production boats ever built.
Over 1000 built to date, offering good looks, comfortable accommodations & a
lively sailing performance.
My boat is well maintained very clean & equipped. I use the boat frequently and also
sail to the Bahamas at least once a year for 3 to 6 weeks at a time. I love the
following features of my boat.
!.) It has great headroom, I stand 6ft. 2" and I have plenty of room to spare.
2.) Shoal draft is very important, I can go more places without fear of running
aground with the 4' 10" wing keel.
3.) Performance, I love it, I am not a club racer but I find I am always the fastest
boat on the bay. She points well and that combination makes sailing more
enjoyable. I find I can successfully sail during wind conditions that keep other boats
at their docks.
4.) I don't have a generator but I do have a great bank of high output solar panels
that provide all the electrical needs for weeks at a time away from the dock.
5.) My friends and I love to swim & the walk through transom with swim platform
makes entering & exiting the water very easy.
