1988 Luhrs Alura 30 - Diesel Project Boat
Great opportunity to own a classic New England style trawler boat. The Luhrs Alura line was discontinued but picked up by Mainship who bought out Luhrs and continued to produce it as the Mainship Pilot 30 (take a close look, it's practically the same boat but with a few upgrades).
This Alura-30 was purchased 2 years ago in florida when the gas engine got contaminated with diesel fuel.
A repowering project got started and never completed (no time). The boat hull and structure are in good shape but the interior needs to be redone (cushion fabric, cabinets...).
No paint or fiberglass work is needed. The fiberglass hull is solid and near perfect, with few or no blisters. The prop and shaft are good.
A good buffing, redo the interior and refit the engine/gearbox and you can have a great DownEast trawler that can easily be valued at over $40,000.
This sale includes:
- 30' boat with Bimini top, power winch and outriggers
- A freshly rebuilt Cummins 6BT Marine Diesel engine
- A New(never used) Hurth Marine transmission (ZF630 A1)
Engine and transmission are out of the boat and need to be installed with new gauges and wiring harness. I don't know much about the boat but will furnish all the information I have.
