A very nice (but hardly perfect) 1990 Fountain 31 TE high performance center console sportfish. Fountain quality and performance built into a great boat that has changed very little in design since it's introduction in 1988. Hull is a 24 degree deadrise deep-vee with pad keel for increased performance and efficiency. Hull also incorporates a notched transom design allowing the props to run shallower reducing drag considerably. Engines are twin 1997 Mercury 250 EFI offshore outboards with about 380 hours on them since new, and are very reliable, and simple technology, (unlike many of the more modern optimax engines where spark plugs can cost $23.00 each..). The port engine trim motor was replaced 10/07, and a computer was replaced a few years ago by the previous owner on the starboard engine I believe. I purchased the boat 1 year ago and have used it for about 80 unbelieveable hours. I upgraded the engine controls, added a new Stereo CD and 4 new speakers, Completed new trailer brakes on both axles including a new master cylinder, new tires, and new spare tire. I also added a new Garmin color GPS chartplotter with built in domestic charts. there also is a Raytheon color video fishfinder, a surface water temperature gauge and a floscan fuel flow computer / totalizer is also installed. There is a moulded fiberglass swim deck with boarding ladder and dive tank racks. She sleeps 2 in the forward cuddy wich also includes a porta potti, and storage compartments under the cushions. There is tons of rod storage overhead the console, aft of the bolster seat, under side rails, and forward in the cuddy both on the sides and ceiling, as well as flush mounted port, stbd, and aft for trolling. Large fishbox under the console, 50 gallon livewell aft, a raw water washdown system, high performance k-plane trim tabs with mechanical indicators, full instrumentation, 2 Lovett bilge pumps, recent upholstery redone by Fountain a few years ago by the past owner and looks great. This is truly a great boat that I purchased with the intent to go offshore tuna fishing, but have decided to go to the fish market instead for tuna. :) I will really hate to see her go as she is a very stable and comfortable fishing platform, tons of fun to drive and very fast. (Top speed is 64mph, she cruises at 40-45mph at 32-34gph total) Email for more pictures and details.. oceandreams89@sbcglobal.net Todd (401)524-0346. Boat is located on the Mystic River in Mystic, CT
