Description
The Silverton 42 Convertible is a stylish family fisherman with sporty exterior and comfortable interior. The wide 14'10 beam gives the 42 a wide stance and lots of interior room. On deck we have an enclosed bridge with hardtop and full side curtains. Guest seating is forward with one wrap-around lounge port side and a second lounge forward of the helm. Lots of room for friends and family. The helm is station is fully equipped with: Furuno 64-mile radar, Northstar GPS, Furuno color fish finder, Robertson auto pilot, Horizon depth sounder, and VHF radio with hailer. A molded stairway connects the bridge and cockpit. The cockpit is equipped for fishing with tackle center, flush mount rod holders, rocket launchers, spreader lights, fish box, cockpit wet bar/prep station with refrigerator, transom door, and fresh & raw water washdown. The foredeck is fitted with a low profile power crane and custom cradle that holds an AB raft with 15-hp Mercury outboard. The bow pulpit has anchor & windlass and remote spotlight. We enter the salon from the cockpit and find a comfortable settee and coffee table starboard across from the entertainment center with TV, DVD, and Bose AM/FM/CD system. The salon is bright, open, with room to relax or entertain. The U-shaped dinette is port side forward and elevated. An overhead rod locker is located forward in the salon. The galley is starboard and down. The galley is large and well-equipped with Corian countertop with sink, cherry cabinets, teak & holly sole, two-burner electric cooktop, convection/microwave oven, built-in coffeemaker, and separate under-counter refrigerator and freezer units. There are two staterooms. The guest stateroom is port side with double berth, storage drawers and hanging locker. The master stateroom is forward with island queen berth, under-berth storage, and two hanging lockers. The head compartment is starboard between the forward stateroom and the galley and has a mirrored vanity and vacu-flush head. The separate shower is port side and is large with molded fiberglass shower stall with bench seat. This 42 Silverton Convertible is powered with twin 480-hp Volvo diesel engines with only 350 hours. They provide a 20 knot cruising speed. Additional equipment includes an 8kW Kohler generator, two-zone reverse cycle HAC, 20-gallon hot water tank, central vacuum, engine room fire suppression system.
