ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT: The first impression of the 262 Captiva is one of Roominess: that is not an illusion. The 8’ 6” Beam makes her wider then almost any other performance boat. The extra room is noticeable in the Cockpit but, it really comes in handy in the cabin. With the Cockpit positioned a little further back then most other go fast boats, the 262’s Cabin is as large as you will find on a 26 foot Performance Boat. To preserve the sleek predatory look, the Cabin only has 4’ 5 1/2 “ of headroom, which is better then most. The Cabin features a pair of Facing Bucket Style Lounge Seats adjacent to the Bulkhead, which offer a 6-footer - enough sitting headroom to feel comfortable. The V-Berth has Filler Cushions that fit tight and cover the Portable Head.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: 12 Volt Ships Service with 2 Batteries and a Selector Switch.
ELECTRONICS: AM / FM / CD Stereo with Sony 6-pack and Lowrance Depthsounder.
MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT: Bilge pump and Trim Tabs.
REMARKS: This Vessel has been stored High and Dry all her life. She sounds like a Performance Boat even when she is idling away from the dock. With the 496 MAG HO Engine, you know this is the real deal. This is the boat that moves out but does not throw you around. Her seating is comfortable enough for the whole family to enjoy the day or the weekend and fast enough when you need the speed.
