The short and sweet of it is that this Fountain is built with the following components: twin Mercury 496 MAG 375HP, Bravo III XR drives, Latham hydraulic steering, heavy duty hydraulic trim tabs, shorepower, trim indicators, full top with canvas curtains, Furuno NAVNET marine radar screen model RDP-131, NAVNET color video plotter model # GD1700C (sent back to Furuno 4th quarter 2007 for updates), stand up head (new macerator), ICOM VHF, TR1 Gladiator auto pilot, bow thruster, 5KW Westerbeke genset (with 5 hours), AC/Heat (new AC unit and water pump for AC), TV, AM/FM/CD stereo, brand new stainless steel microwave, cabin and cockpit (stainless) refrigerators, no bottom paint, stainless sea strainers, built in anchor system, nitrogen chilled livewell system (all livewell pumps are brand new), two rear livewells, custom made cockpit cover, removable cockpit and cuddy carpet (like new), removable seat cushions, swim ladder, battery charger and she has 5+/- hours on her since re-fit. New bilge pumps, wash down pressure pump is new, new holding tank, new stainless water heater, new stainless cockpit ice maker, new cockpit carpet and cockpit cover, new ship to shore radio.
The reason everything is new on this boat is that originally she was in saltwater in NY. All the work done was to prepare her for sale in a freshwater market. Anything that had any corrosion from salt water was replaced. The engines were completely rebuilt, only the block and the intake manifold are original. Literally everything else was replaced with new parts. When the engines were out of the boat the seller took advantage of this accessability and replaced everything. He wanted this boat to look brand new, he even installed a new holding tank because the original one didn’t look new. The new items include, drives and gimbals, a/c unit, cockpit ice maker, all pumps on the entire boat, holding tank, battery charger, batteries, rebuilt bowthruster motor, halon system, 100% of all celenoids, belts, cockpit and cabin carpet, cockpit icemaker, cockpit cover, bimini, fuel pumps, starter motors, and more. There are a couple minor blemishes on the cockpit seat cushions, that is all that is known that is left to do aside from purchasing a new radar dome.
The Furuno radar dome was stolen from the boat at the marina. The thieves were polite and just unplugged the unit so all the wires are in place to plug in a new one. All updates have been done by Furuno 3rd quarter 2007. When I was learning of all the new and replaced items on this Fountain I asked “has she been submerged?” The anwer was no. The seller continued to say that he did this extensive work so that a freshwater boater would not have any reason not to buy her. So now we have a Fountain with 377 hours on her hull and 10+/- hours on her since her complete refit. A unique opportunity!
