19' ft Mastercraft 197

2007 MasterCraft 197
ProStar 197 Tournament Team

NEW BOAT WARRANTIES!!!!
The ProStar 197 is a MasterCraft defined not by the boat itself, but by everything else around it, namely behind it. Leaving a trail of wakes disguised as a Louisiana backwater bayou – soft and still – the 197 is the choice of champions and the recipient of records, acting at the tow point for current world champions Regina Jaquess, Nicholas LeForestier, Mandy Nightengale and Jimmy Siemers; it also holds the top tricks and slalom scores in the business, pulling world records within the last 12 months. It is the only boat ever designated by USA Water Ski record-capable in five events with a single engine, and continues to be the boat of choice for the world’s elite tournaments.

Its propensity to attract top scores is the same as its ability to draw skiers, starting with slalom wakes that shrivel up and disappear, post 30 miles per hour. The quicker the pace, the lighter they feel -- perfect for jumps at higher speeds. Setting the standard cruise control down near 20 offers up dual peaks that have produced ten shortboard flips in under 20 seconds.

Giving you ten more reasons to call the 197 your personal record-setter.

Good decision-making requires the honed ability to weed through distraction and to concentrate on facts.
This may indicate why the MasterCraft ProStar 197 continues to be the preferred ski boat around the world.
Everywhere you look, the ProStar 197 continues to pull the world’s best to their best, building an argument that is both inspirational and factual.
And we don’t say this lightly, just look at the record – or should we say records.
Since its introduction in 2002 the ProStar 197 has set three MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Championship records, towed barefooter Keith St. Onge to a world trick record, received the first all-event AWSA hull approval in history, received Powerboat’s “Outstanding Towboat Performance” award (X-7), and completed a world record trifecta , towing the men’s slalom, jump and trick world records in a single summer, once and for all proving that an open bow ski boat can be both functional and high performance.
Even more recently, the ProStar 197 pulled Chris Parrish to the new men’s slalom record and won two out of the three pulling competitions against Malibu in WaterSki magazine’s Pro Slalom Shootout.
The ProStar 197 adds to its colorful reputation in 2007 with its investment cast underwater gear, composite bearings, and the multi-port RTP-1 GM Vortec engine .
At 310 hp, the RTP-1 offers more response, torque, and power than any other V-8 in its class thanks to Indmar custom calibration and standard multi-port fuel injection.
Unadulterated muscle is only the tip of the iceberg. The ProStar 197 is also definitive in other departments.
For instance, the 2007 197’s interior boasts new white face CAN-driven (control area network) Medallion gauges in the dash , second generation digital throttle control technology for smooth acceleration and immediate throttle response, and the critically acclaimed MasterCraft Cruise® system for incremental speed or rpm lock.
The dash pod and armrest is also ornamented with new billet aluminum bright dip anodized appointments .
The 2007 ProStar 197 continues to lead in creature comforts with upgraded JL Audio speakers (optional), an anodized billet aluminum cup holder tray on the motor box, stainless grab handles for increased safety and styling, and hammered metal textured vinyl accents with SRT (stain-resistant top coating).
At 19-feet 8-inches long and 91-inches wide, the ProStar 197 is an exceptionally versatile ski boat.
It has loads of walk-through room amidship, a flip-out observer’s seat that allows passengers easy access to and from the open bow, a conveniently located dual-access cooler in the walk-through and a removable rear bench that converts to a lazy sun pad.
So for “the record” (or for your own personal record), the ProStar 197 is the only choice.
Standards:
DSI
Instead of old-school pitot pickups, MasterCraft’s under-hull paddlewheel delivers magnetic signals to accurately measure speed without being affected by random debris or atmospheric pressure.
Underwater Gear
Technology has improved even the most traditional underwater gear, holding design specifications within a .005-inch tolerance for superior performance.
In-tank Fuel Pump
Designed by MasterCraft to maximize fuel efficiency, reduce vapor lock and safeguard boaters, our exclusive in-tank fuel pump pushes fuel to the engine, rather than pulling it.
Spline Shaft
To minimize vibration and prop slippage, our shaft and coupler use a fitted tongue-and-groove design, which requires fewer parts and tools, making maintenance quick and easy.
Hand-laid Fiberglass
Our hand-laid and hand-rolled fiberglass method—standard since 1983—ensures that each boat receives a calculated lamination schedule in high-stress areas, built to withstand not just years of boating, but decades.
Muffler
Don’t worry about keeping sound down in a MasterCraft. Unlike our competitors, we install noise-reducing fiberglass mufflers on every boat we offer.
Non-corrosive Hardware
Stainless steel bolts, nuts, screws, washers, clamps, staples, and insert nuts protect every boat’s beauty, integrity, and longevity against the harsh elements of water.
Gauges
Electromechanical Borg Warner instrumentation is driven by proprietary software to read streaming data impulses and deliver unrivaled accuracy.
Masterview Bolster Seat
Don’t get caught short in a seat that doesn’t elevate. Move the comfortable bolster seat into place to boost the driver an additional four inches higher.
Swivel Board Racks
Easily clamp your boards into place for increased stow-away space and swivel your equipment 180-degrees into the boat for boathouse storage (standard on all X-Series boats except the X-1 and X-2).
Multi-port EFI
An option for most, our standard electronic fuel injection system increases fuel economy and high-output engine performance, surpassing the archaic yet standard carbureted engines used by the competition.
Ski Pylon
We pull no punches with our pylons. Each is constructed of solid aluminum, anodized to prevent wear and then through-bolted into steel plates eight to 16 times to sustain merciless torque. It’s topped off with a WearGuard nylon inset to prevent rope chafe.
JL Audio System
Have a blast aboard a MasterCraft, with the JL Audio interior and tower speakers, designed exclusively for MasterCraft. Controlled by a premium Clarion head unit, our standard sound optimizes sound clarity inside and out.
Teak Boarding Platform
Big is beautiful. MasterCraft’s oversized teak boarding platform is the perfect place for putting on equipment, teaching young ones how to ski, or getting back on board.
Automatic Bilge System
Forgot to hit the auto bilge switch? Don’t worry. MasterCraft does it for you with a bilge system that automatically senses bilge water level and empties it.
LCD Display
LCD displays depth, hour meter, clock, water temperature, and alarm messages clearly and accurately so you can monitor your MasterCraft’s optimum performance.
Digital Throttle Control
Digital Throttle Control (DTC) operates at the speed of light and without the bulkiness of cables: the throttle “talks” electronically to the engine, allowing for a tow-sport-specific “cruise control.”
38-ounce Vinyl
Your upholstery should look as good as your boat. Premium-grade vinyl with UV protection, mildew resistors, and stain-resistant treatment maintains its shape and color for years.
Ballast System
Rotocast tanks positioned above and beneath the floor utilize their own industrial-sized pumps to quickly ingest up to 1,000-pounds of water weight in under five minutes (Standard on entire X-Series line of boats).
Steering Wheel
Even with an element as basic as a steering wheel, MasterCraft makes you look good on the water. With our four-spoke, vinyl-wrapped, polished aluminum steering wheel, (standard on most models) you’ll make all the turns in style.
